West Hollywood Market Round-Up -- August 2009

Five single family homes sold in the West Hollywood area in August 2009 with a median saleprice of $849,000. There are currently 59 homes for sale in West Hollywood, a one-year supply of inventory at the current sales rate.
The highest priced sale was 830 N Orlando Avenue, a 3 bedroom, 3 bath 1925 Mediterranean home formerly owned by designed Charles R. Pollock. The house was originally listed at $3,299,000, was eventually reduced to $2,699,000 and sold for $2,300,000 after 269 days on the market.
Another 3 bedroom, 3 bath home across town, 726 N Sierra Bonita Avenue, sold for $1,275,000. This home was newly constructed in 2007 and was listed at $1,295,000 and sold for $1,275,000 after 13 days on the market.
8467 Willoughby Avenue, with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, takes the prize for the longest-marketed property during the past year. This house with 1,562 sq ft of living area on a 3,432 sq ft lot was originally listed at $1,030,000, and eventually closed last month for $849,000 after 467 days on the market. The closest runner-up was marketed for only a brief 284 days.
