Starbucks to close 7 Mobile area stores















Starbucks, Inc. announced on July 1, 2008 that it will close approximately 600 company-operated stores in the U.S. beginning this month and continuing through the first half of Fiscal Year 2009. The Mobile area in south Alabama did not escape the announced store closings.













In Mobile County, 5 of the 12 existing stores are scheduled to be closed. In Baldwin County, 2 of the 6 existing stores made the list. Here is the list of stores scheduled to be closed:
