Air Force Picks Mobile and Northrop Grumman/EADS

The announcement Friday afternoon that Northrop Grumman/EADS won the contract to build Air Force Refueling Tankers here in Mobile sent shock waves from our town outward. What great news for our local economy.

Mobile is poised to become the boom town of the Southeast. In the past year, there have been two announcements that signal huge changes to our local economy and population base. Thyssen Krupp announced last May that they are building a new steel factory in north Mobile County. Now EADS will be building both military and commercial planes here at the Brookley Aerospace center.

Mobile is a very attractive place for national and international developers to invest capital.
